Celebrate Belgium’s National Day today at Taste of Belgium Restaurant Aruba

July 21st is the day that Belgium celebrates their national flag and anthem day and of course Aruba’s Taste of Belgium Restaurant can’t let that day pass by without celebrating this day with all Belgium’s on the island and everyone who would like to join them. This year is extra special since King Albert II is abdicating in favor of his son Prince Phillipe. The chef of Taste of Belgium came up with a special King’s crowing brunch that will be served between 11am and 5pm.

Renaissance Aruba named ‘best hotel’ by Monarc.ca

Renaissance Resorts in Aruba and Curacao were named ‘best hotel’ on their Caribbean islands by visitors of Monarc.ca. Monarc.ca is a website of hotel reviews for Canadian travelers, allowing only travelers who visited a hotel and purchased a trip from one of Monarc.ca participating travel retailer’s website to write and publish a review.

Aruba’s Kyra Hoevertsz has won 2 golden medals at the Central American and Caribbean Swimming Championships

Two years ago Kyra won the championship for synchronized swimming in the ’12 years and under’ category. Two years later -at the Central American and Caribbean Swimming Championships (CCCAN Championships) - she did it again and went home with two gold medals in the category 13-15 years old. The CCCAN Championships are a biennial aquatics sports championship for countries in Central America and the Caribbean. In additional to CCCAN members residents of Columbia, Surinam and Venezuela may also participate in these championships.
