Boardwalk proposes lovely romantic packages

Come August 1st, Aruba’s hidden gem, the Boardwalk Hotel, will add a romance and honeymoon package to their growing list of promotions. This colorful property, situated across from the new Ritz-Carlton on Palm Beach (opening August) provides a quiet oasis, ideal for couples and honeymooners searching for a peaceful and relaxing home base as they explore the island.

Two out of the fourteen spacious casitas at Boardwalk, nestled amongst rustling palm trees, will be designated as honeymoon suites. Double hammocks will grace the private patios, where couples can grill local-caught seafood on the charcoal barbeque and dine on teak furniture.

The packages will include a welcome drink, champagne breakfast in bed, and choice of sunset cruise or dinner on the beach. For those who wish to explore, Boardwalk offers free use of coolers, beach chairs and snorkel gear and plenty of advice on where to avoid crowds.

Owners and twin sisters, Stephanie and Kimberly Rooijakkers bought the Boardwalk Hotel from fellow kite-boarders in 2011, and have spent much time and energy renovating and putting their unique stamp on the historic piece of land known as ‘Plantage Tromp’, a former coconut plantation. “Aruba really focuses on attracting couples, and Boardwalk can provide a honeymoon experience for those in search of a distinct vacation.”

Boardwalk Hotel has was recently named one of 10 Best Small Hotels of 2013 by Caribbean Journal (May 2013).
