Many of us have had the pleasure of meeting the dynamic and good-natured Diana Celaire during the years she worked for Café Restaurant Bingo and Café The Plaza. Finally, after 4 years of planning and preparing, she has opened her own place: Diana’s Pancakes Place!

She found the perfect location at the Old Windmill, the recognizable landmark at the beginning of the high-rise hotel area in Aruba. Here she serves traditional Dutch-style pancakes, from plain to fancy, something for everyone. Favorites are the French pancake with brie, walnuts and honey, or the Farmers pancake with cheese, ham, mushrooms and onion. Kids get a kick out of their own kid-style pancakes, smiley faces with sprinkles. To meet dietary needs she has sugar-free syrup and gluten-free pancakes. Besides pancakes there is also a great selection of sandwiches, such as smoked salmon, healthy, chicken/tuna/crab salad, served on large white or dark rolls.

The restaurant has a ‘gezellig’ (cozy, homey) Dutch theme interior and the murals are one-of-a-kind…..a must-see! You can sit indoors and enjoy an air-conditioned surrounding, or sit on the large porch and feel the breeze. Diana’s Pancakes Place is open daily from 8 AM to 3 PM, closed on Monday.
