A traditionally delightful night for spectators as well as participants is Aruba’s annual Tivoli Lighting Parade, one of Carnival’s most anticipated events.

Oranjestad’s main thoroughfares were filled with revelers dancing to favorite carnival songs, most of them aglow with creatively lit costumes, while flashing floats set the streets aglow.

Ten groups joined the spectacle with a total of 2500 participants in elaborate costume led by Robert and his Solo Banda Show, then Royal Carnival Group, and the reigning Carnival Queen elected just two nights before.

The largest group was TOB with 600 dancers in green conveying a theme of nature conservation and protecting the environment.

Music and dancing lasted until the wee hours of the morning for a spectacular display of carnival spirit and artistry.
