Aruba’s top athlete in synchronized swimming wins 2 bronze medals

Anouk Eman takes 2 bronze medals at U.S. National Collegiate Synchronized Swimming Championships.

In the US there are many colleges and universities that carry a special program of synchronized swimming. The level of these programs is very high. Aruba has their top athlete in the synchronized swimming sport competing for the University of Lindenwood in the US.

This week Anouk competed in the US Nationals Collegiate Synchronized Swimming Championships and finished  in third place in duets (together with Reem Abdelazem of Egypt) to win bronze and third place in trio which also give her a bronze medal. She also moved up to the fourth position on the team.

Lindenwood also won gold in solo: Mary Killman won gold and Reem Abdelazam bronze.

Anouk’s next competition is in the US Nationals in April. This will also be Anouk’s final competition for her school for this year.

Next Anouk will be competing for Aruba in July at the CCCAN games, World Championships in Barcelona and also at the UANA PANAMERICAN Championships in August.
