The most recent collection of Aruban artist Elisa Lejuez will be on display for one month in the S Artspace Gallery in New York. The exhibition features the colorful artworks of Elisa’s collection ‘Connections’.

A grand event is organized on April 29th to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Aruba’s Palo Marga drag strip. More than 30 drivers from Bonaire, St. Maarten, Puerto Rico, Bonaire, Curacao and Venezuela will be coming to Aruba to participate in this racing event.

Organizers of the Players Poker Championship announced that the date is moved to October 2nd and that the event is now held at the Radisson Aruba Resort.

Great news for lovers of good stand-up comedy. Aruba Ray's Comedy Revue Show featuring Ray Ellin, Brian Scott McFadden and Chuck Nice, is coming to Aruba. The show will only available for a limited period from April 10th till April 16th.

Starbucks, Tropical Bottling and Ecotech announced their second ‘Save the Earth’ event including an eco awareness walk which is starting off with a zumba workout at the Renaissance Marketplace. The organizing companies are requesting everyone to start collecting their recyclable waste and to turn it in during the Save the Earth event on April 20th 2013.

March 23rd Westin Aruba observed Earth day by conserving electricity in awareness of the environment. Guests at the resort enjoyed additional activities in recognition of the global event.

The Aruba 2013 International Xtreme Games, organized for the first time and started on April 2nd, are coming to an end with the finals on Sunday April 7th. All week BMX, Skateboard and Wind Surfing & Kite Surfing athletes have been competing and Sunday at 7 PM will be the moment of truth when the winners will be awarded.

Starting Thursday March 28th the 14th annual Copa Cees Bossers Beach soccer kicks off at Eagle Beach. International teams from the sister island of Curacao and from the USA will compete against Aruba top teams in this years games.

After nearly one year the restorations of the Water Tower in San Nicolas has been completed. The Water Tower, completely restored to its former glory, was unveiled to the public on March 15 2013.

On March 16th, Island officials got together at the March 18 Monument in Oranjestad to honor the original singers of the “Status Aparte’ petition in favor of the Aruba autonomy within the Dutch Kingdom. During this year’s event a special book was launched that includes all original signers of the petition and their stories.

March 18th marks Aruba Flag and Anthem day and the Aruba Museum Foundation will also use the symbolic date to open its doors to the San Nicolas Community Museum.
The Museum will feature a collection of artifacts along with a diverse demonstration of Aruban History and that of the world and much more. The San Nicolas Museum also commemorates Mario Odor an ardent historian of Aruba whose work will be displayed for all to see.The Museum will also be opened during the San Nicolas Carubbian Festival on Thursday evenings as an added attraction for the district of San Nicolas.

Starting Friday March 15, festivities will begin in commemoration of Aruba's Anthem and Flag Day. This musical celebration promises to be nothing less than tremendous with a variation of never before heard musical pieces. You are especially invited to the magna concert on the Plaza Betico Croes in the Vondellaan on Sunday, March 17th.
