Boardwalk Small Hotel’s staff and management recently celebrated the 20th anniversary of Veronica Esperanza Castaneda Espinoza.  Veronica was hired on February 28, 1997 at Boardwalk Hotel to join the Housekeeping team, right after she moved from her native country Peru to Aruba in 1996, at age 22. We applaud Veronica for all her hard work and dedication!

Chef Lij Heron recently assumed the leadership of the culinary team at the Sunset Grille, of Hilton Aruba Caribbean Resort & Casino. The decorated chef comes to Aruba from the Waldorf Astoria Hotel Ras Al Khaimah, of the United Arab Emirates. Making for quite the impressive culinary background!

Hilton Aruba Caribbean Resort & Casino announced the appointment of Hans-Georg Roehrbein as the new general manager of the 357-room resort, which has just recently completed a multi-million dollar renovation.

Having been coming to Aruba for the past 13 years, Joy and Robert Crowe, from Golden, Colorado, were presented with a Certificate of Distinction.  Recognizing the couple's loyalty and contribution to the island, the informal ceremony was performed by a representative of the Aruba Tourism Authority and hosted by Germaine Wever, the resort’s Hilton HHonors Manager.

Teddy Bouroncle, former Complex Executive Chef has been promoted to Director of Food & Beverage Operations for the property.
