ORANJESTAD — The founder and designer of the popular jewelry collections of Lauren G. Adams, Orly Ovadia, was on Aruba with her husband, Joseph, for the opening of their first dedicated outlet in the Caribbean. Paseo Herencia General Manager welcomed the couple and the charming new shop owned by Ravi of Kristie’s Jewelers, into their roster of fine designer stores within the Palm Beach Mall.

The Lauren G. Adams line is named after Orly’s three children, Lauren, Gabi and Adam. The fine quality jewelry allows any woman to make a bold, free-spirited fashion statement, and reflects the passion of the designer for her work.

“My husband and I had been importing and marketing jewelry for ten years,” confided the Canadian-born Orly, who makes her home in Hollywood, Florida, where she has her studio. “Truth be told, we were simply bored with our inventory. I wanted to see jewelry that was fun and exciting. An artisan I met liked my ideas, and told me he would produce anything I wanted…I thought, “Anything? You don’t know what you are letting yourself in for!”

Fifteen years later, the kudos from critics and consumer demand proved Orly’s vision recognized what was sadly lacking in the market. The pieces are all handcrafted to her strict specifications, and made of bronze overlaid with 18 karat gold. Their signature look is elegant and colorful enameling, punctuated with semi-precious stones and Swarovski crystals. All are hypo-allergenic as well.

Lauren G. Adams is also well known for their delightful lines for young ladies, which are also sized for smaller wrists and fingers.

When her daughters informed her that “every little girl wants to be like her mommy,” she could not resist creating special lines with youngsters in mind.

“I feel this first Lauren G. Adams shop is perfect fit for Paseo Herencia and Aruba,” expressed the company’s executive creative director. “Our jewelry is geared to coordinate with tropical wear and travels well to such a destination. We are certain it will be hit, and are very excited with this singular showcase. It will be a fun place to shop!”

The new store is open seven days a week, from 10:00 AM until 10:00 PM, Monday through Saturday, and from 5:00 until 10:00 PM on Sundays.
