ORANJESTAD — Executives of Aruba’s national brewery at Balashi invite one and all for the greatest FREE beach party of the year, the Chill Flip Flop event, this coming Sunday, February 9, at Nikky Beach, just behind the Plaza Turismo in Oranjestad.

Begun a few years ago and added to the annual Carnival agenda, the event has proven so popular, it has grown enormously in scope and hours. This year, it will begin at noon and last until 10:00 PM for the “Let’s Get Wild” edition.

Top DJ’s and some of the island best bands will provide non-stop music, including guest headliner Quintino, who presides over 250 live sessions annually. Being an official carnival event, the best island bands of the genre will be performing their lively, original music and all of the carnival classics, to set the mood. On the playbill are BMW, Youth Xtreme, Duro, Upgrade Music, and FU Entertainment. Top DJ’s from Curacao, Nebhwani from Surinam, and international DJ’s 101, Marc Era, Karixon, Divine and Nero with local discologists Nutzbeatz and NRG will keep the energy high, with a terrific visual accompaniment once the sun sets, by Jay Nightride of Boston.

Chill tee shirts are being given out with purchases of cases of Balashi Chill, and attendees are invited to “Go Wild” with original decorations and flourishes. Prizes of great Chill logo gear, including flip-flops, sunglasses, hats, and mammoth water guns will be awarded for the most creative and outstanding.
A special invitation is extended to all local boat and yacht owners, as well as those in Curacao and Bonaire, to moor in the Nikky Beach cove to enjoy the music, ambiance and avail themselves of ice Balashi Chill on sale on the shore.
