Marriott Aruba Care Foundation lends a greener hand

On Saturday February 23, 2013 the Marriott Aruba Care Foundation took the initiative to plant new trees and flower pots at local elementary school Fatima College in Dakota.

Over 60 volunteers, mainly associates of the Aruba Marriott, dedicated their Saturday morning to plant thirty six fruit and vegetable trees and sixty flower pots. Care members and families and school children of the Fatima College all shared great enthusiasm for the project and worked together to get the job done.

“The Marriott Aruba Care Foundation focuses to give back to the local community. This “green” project provides the students of the Fatima College a better environment at school and as a part of their education program, they will continue to take care of the trees and plants,” says Care Foundation President Ben Figaroa.

Marriott Care Foundation’s upcoming project will take place on March 16th supporting the largest Aruba volunteer program “Aruba Doet”.
