California Lighthouse Now Open to the Public With New Daily Tours!

After one year of construction, the restoration of the California Lighthouse is finally complete. Along with its new facade, interiors, and refreshed paint, the lighthouse is now officially open to the public for the first time in decades! Visitors will finally be able to go inside the lighthouse, and climb to the top. The entrance includes a guided tour, and an opportunity to experience 360-degree panoramic views of Aruba.

On your way up to the top you will enjoy a historic tour given by Mitchell, a charismatic and knowledgeable guide. His funny and witty presentation adds to the relaxed vibe for an informative and fun tour. He will also provide you with exclusive insider information given to him directly by the families of the old lighthouse keepers! Then you will get a chance to take pictures and enjoy the view.

There are three types of tours offered for everyone to enjoy this new attraction. Regular daily tours start at 8:30 am, running non-stop at 45 minute intervals through to the last tour of the day which starts at 4:45 pm. Tours have a duration of 25-30 minutes, and cost US$8 per person. Children ages four and younger get in for free. You also have the option of booking a VIP after-hours tour for a group of friends. This can be booked for any time between 5:30 pm and 8 am making this a great opportunity for a midnight, sunset, or sunrise viewing! This 30-minute tour costs $64 for 1-8 people, and must be booked at least 24 hours in advance. You also have the option of booking a 1-hour tour, which includes a complete historic description and more viewing time.

After your tour you can walk over to Faro Blanco Restaurant and enjoy delicious Italian food, while continuing to enjoy breathtaking coastline views. Your lighthouse tour ticket entitles you to a FREE dessert when combined with the purchase of any main course, during lunch or dinner seatings. You can redeem one dessert per ticket.
