Since May 2012 everyone who visits Aruba or who lives here can experience beautiful composed, orchestrated and arranged music with wonderful romantic lyrics sung by Fred de Jong weekly and order local food and delicious drinks while watching our Aruba Sinatra Dinner Show at The Old Cunucu House Restaurant. Every Thursday from 7:30 pm till 10.00 pm Fred de Jong sings a selection of the best romantic songs also performed by singers like Frank Sinatra, Michael Bublé, Harry Connick jr. Many tourists and locals have visited this show already and wrote great reviews about it.
The music in this show is loved by so many people and especially by the Senior Citizen, because it often brings back so many wonderful and touching memories of the past. Fred de Jong and his team want to do something nice for our Senior Citizens, who are sometimes so easily forgotten after all they did for us in the past. That is why the idea came up to organize a special Aruba Sinatra Senior Citizen Show at Cas di Cultura on October 30th, from 7:00 till 9:00 pm.
According to Fred de Jong: “We gave away about three hundred (300) tickets to elderly homes, like SABA, Cas Cristelle, Bethesda Homecare, St. Thuiszorg Aruba, Cas Cuido y Alegria pa Nos Grandinan, OASIS, Cas di Cuido pa Hende Grandi, Stichting Cas di Machi for all the people who are able to go to a show like this, but we also gave some tickets to the elderly clubs, like grupo Flor di Bini Bini, Uni, Kawara, Pegasaya, Palmita di Ora, Monarca, Magdalena, Palaya Pabao, Flor di Brazil, Kukwisa, Violeta, Lago Heights Funhoppers, Flamboyant, Movimiento ta Bida, Edat no ta conta, Golden Agers, Kibrahacha, to raffle or divide the tickets among member who deserve a present in their club. Of course we were not able to cover everybody, but if the show is successful, we might organize the show yearly and if necessary and possible more evenings per year. Some government and other officials will be invited.
In this special show Fred de Jong sings songs like: “Fly Me To The Moon”, “My Way”, “I’ve Got You Under My Skin”, “Luck Be A Lady”, “Come Rain, Or Shine”, “Girl From Ipanema”, “I’ve Got The World On A String”, “One For My Baby”, “Night And Day”, “You Make Me Feel So Young”, “Softly As I Leave You”, For Once In My Life”, “It Had To Be You”, “Guess I’ll Hang My Tears Out To Dry”, “Witchcraft”, “The Way You Look To Night”, “It Was A Very Good Year”, “New York – New York”, “The Lady Is A Tramp” and many more…
The show will be held in the Auditorium at Cas di Cultura and the rest of the about two hundred and fifty (250) tickets will be sold to cover the cost of the rent, organization and promotion.
