KLM makes longest biofuel flight with an Airbus aircraft to Aruba

On May 17th the KLM arrived on Aruba after a 10 hour flight from Amsterdam. The KLM Airbus flew with a 20% blend of sustainable jet fuel, made of used cooking oil and the arrival on Aruba marked the longest biofuel flight made with an Airbus aircraft. KLM and the Dutch government have chosen Aruba and Bonaire as the best destination for this flight as both island placed sustainability high on their agenda’s.

Boardwalk Hotel Aruba welcomed US Press Group and local artist Michael Lampe for a VIP Champagne Breakfast

The Boardwalk Hotel Aruba had the honor to welcome the OneHappySummer Press Group of the USA for a special VIP Champagne Breakfast. Michael Lampe, frontman of the popular Aruban band Datapanik, was invited to the breakfast as special guest. During the breakfast the press group learned more about the Boardwalk Small Hotel by watching the brand new hotel video featuring the music of Datapanik.

Clarification on visitors with property in Aruba policy

A press release about the changes in entry requirements was recently published. The update caused some confusion, especially among our visitors with property on Aruba. The Ministry of Urban Development, Infrastructure and Integration together with the Ministry of Tourism, Transportation, Primary Sector and Culture would like to explain the policy and clear up the misunderstanding.

Sixteen Arubans got the honor to receive medals of the Order of the House of Orange on King’s Day 2014

Each year the decoration and knighting of individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the community is taking place in conjunction with King’s Day. This year sixteen Arubans got the honor to receive a medal from the Order of Orange-Nassau. Four of them were designated ‘Knights in the Order of Orange Nassau’ and the other twelve were designated as ‘Member in the Order of Orange Nassau’.

Paradera Park Wins Zoover Best Apartment Award 2014

Last week the winners of the 2014 Zoover Awards were announced in the Netherlands. Zoover, the largest independent review site of the Benelux named Aruba ‘Best Vacation Destination outside the European Union’. The 2014 Zoover Award winner for ‘Best Apartments in Aruba’ is Paradera Park. It is the first time Paradera Park and Aruba are awarded by this European review site, which gained in popularity and is visited by 185 million users annually.
