On Monday morning May 19 a VIP Champagne Breakfast took place at Boardwalk Small Hotel, in honor of a USA-based press group that was brought to Aruba by the Zimmerman PR Agency. The OneHappySummer Press Group enjoyed a short tour of the Boardwalk property, housed on a former coconut plantation and watched Boardwalk’s brand new hotel video.
Popular Aruban band Datapanik was recently approached by Boardwalk to provide the music for their hotel video. ‘Flow’, a catchy track from the new Datapanik-album Fuente matched perfectly with the local feel and is now the contagious tune of Boardwalk hotel’s video. Special guest at this morning’s breakfast was Michael Lampe, frontman of Datapanik, who surprised all participating press members by handing them a free Fuente CD.
Hotel Manager Kimberly Rooijakkers explained more about the ‘act like a local’ concept of Boardwalk and its recently launched ‘Treasure Box’, tailored to the needs of adventurous guests, romantic couples, families and those interested in culinary/culture & lifestyle by providing the local scoop, hot spots and hidden gems on the island. Themed treasure boxes were placed on each breakfast table for the press members to explore.
