Top Caribbean Hotel Stays Open – Virtually – for Guests

While the world pauses due to COVID-19, Bucuti & Tara Beach Resort is promising to bring a little piece of paradise – virtually – to its would-be guests and followers until they can travel again.

The popular Eagle Beach resort kicked off this new engaging social media initiative, #BringingBucutiToYou, on March 18, 2020, to the instant delight of its followers. Owner/CEO Ewald Biemans launched the series with this video. He shares that staff are using this unanticipated down time to continue refreshing the resort for the return of guests.

Overnight, the video garnered 3.6k views on Facebook. Followers will also find it on Instagram and Twitter. Guest comments poured in from worldwide with requests for videos of favorite staff serving signature cocktails, warm thoughts and prayers, excitement over future reservations and gratitude for the simple joy of getting to see their favorite vacation spot – a welcomed break during these trying times.

New videos will post several times a week. Upcoming features include treasured Bucuti associates bringing messages from guests’ favorite Bucuti spots including treasured sun loungers on Eagle Beach, this video of servers greeting followers from oceanfront deck of Elements restaurant and a refreshing dip in the pool overlooking swaying palms.

Property upgrades during downtime

Joining the growing number of countries and localities worldwide, Bucuti & Tara’s home island of Aruba is also closing its borders to non-residents due to the pandemic, COVID-19. In tourism-dependent Aruba, as some hotels will temporarily shutter, Bucuti & Tara Owner/CEO Ewald Biemans is currently keeping his resort open and the employees working on deep cleaning, ongoing training and projects that will continue enhancing the guest experience.

The dedicated hotelier has a deep love of the hospitality business itself and has a long history of reinvesting profits into property and experience improvements. His reward is happy, healthy guests and staff. This approach includes not offering deeply discounted rates, rather it focuses on delivering value through a quality experience found nowhere else on Aruba.

Bucuti’s unique culture of deeply caring for guests and staff has resulted in Bucuti’s highly active, loyal customer base. Fair value, not overbuilding and steadfastly providing the healthiest vacation experience and working environment also continues to be recognized by major media outlets, such as the March 18, 2020, announcement by Travel + Leisure magazine naming Bucuti & Tara a 2020 Global Vision Award winner. Biemans’ intense focus on high standards has also led to the property to becoming the Caribbean’s first carbon-neutral hotel as well as TripAdvisor’s No. 1 Hotel for Romance in the Caribbean for four straight years.

“At Bucuti & Tara Beach Resort, our Bucuti associates are our heart and soul and caring for our guests is paramount whether they are here on property or, in these unique times due to the pandemic, far away,” shares Ewald Biemans. “When travel resumes, Bucuti & Tara will immediately be ready to welcome our treasured guests as soon as they touch down. Until then, it’s our pleasure to come to them with #BringingBucutiToYou.”
