The Radisson Aruba Resort Casino & Spa invited students participating in this summer’s RBC Royal Bank sponsored Art Rules Aruba to spend a day at the resort with their cameras.

The art education program, celebrating its fifth anniversary in 2014, unfolded at Cas Di Cultura over two weeks in July, offering 9 disciplines including Dance, Theater, Creative Media, Fashion, DJ, Rap & Poetry, Street Art, Music & Performance and Culinary Arts.

The Creative Media students guided by international teachers Cye Wong-Loi-Sing & Omar Brown conceived an interesting assignment; that of creating the new Radisson Postcards.

Nunette Maduro, PR & Communication Executive, reports the resort wanted to offer a fresh and unique service to its valued guests by making irresistible free postcards available to share with family members and friends who did not get to go on vacation.

The idea to collaborate with Art Rules Aruba was enthusiastically received and the students indeed captured the essence of the resort, its abundant beauty and spaciousness, the lush gardens and in general its tropical charm and splendor through their lenses, then manipulated the images to serve as postcards.

Twin program founders, Ayra & Ira Kip of the Pancake Gallery Foundation are grateful for the private sector support of the program and stated that without the help of generous and engaged sponsors the exciting program couldn’t exist and couldn’t offer the annual enrichment to Aruba’s budding artists, with more than two hundred teenagers between the ages of 13 and 26, developing their personal talents.
