ORANJESTAD — Last April representatives of the prestigious hotel chain Hyatt visited Aruba to evaluate the possibility of operating a hotel in Aruba’s Main Street. Last week it was confirmed that Hyatt will be the operator of the executive hotel in the downtown Main Street. This hotel, reportedly, will fall under the successful brand of the Hyatt Place Corporation.

The government made this announcement last Thursday during a press conference. This hotel, according to the government, will greatly contribute to the development in the main street and lift up the level as a touristic and commercial attraction. Also the number of persons walking the down town area will become more. A well occupied hotel will guarantee activity in the area as well as activate commerce and entertainment.

The brand ‘Hyatt Place’ was created for multi-blenders with 24/7 lifestyles seeking a select-service hotel that will allow them to balance work and play. Hyatt Place is a new generation of hotels that offer casual hospitality in a smartly designed, high-tech and modern environment.

The ‘Hyatt Place’ has earned various prizes and worldwide recognition including the “Highest in Guest Satisfaction Among Upscale Hotel Chains,” according to J.D. Power. Hyatt Place also stands as the #1 Select Service Brand by Business Travel News 2013 Hotel Chain Survey for the second consecutive year.

Last April representatives of Hyatt evaluated the property with the investors and determined that their design was to their satisfaction. They like the hotel design which fits in with the renovation of the city center and is the perfect location for an executive hotel.

Developers of the project have continued with the execution of the first phase, among others, with the measurements and testing of the ground.
