Marriott Vacation Club Aruba’s sales and marketing business proudly announces the recent promotion of Ligenne Trimon to Director of Marketing. In this role, Ms. Trimon will be responsible for the development and daily management of Marriott Vacation Club Aruba’s 45 marketing executives in 5 locations on the island.

“I am very proud of Ligenne and congratulate her with this well deserved promotion,” said Bettina Gonzalez, Project Director of Marriott Vacation Club Aruba. “Over the years we have seen Ligenne grow into this new role. She sets the example for Arubans that start with Marriott Vacation Club and take advantage of the training and opportunities for growth provided to them to build a career, internationally or here in Aruba. Ligenne did both and we are so pleased to have her on our team.”

After finishing MAVO and MEAO in the Netherlands Ms. Trimon joined Air Aruba. In her 12-year tenure there she experienced tremendous growth and developed from an Accounting Clerk to Manager Cabin Services. She started at Marriott’s Aruba Ocean Club in 2000 as Marketing Supervisor. In 2006 she was promoted to Senior Marketing Manager at Marriott’s Aruba Surf Club and transferred to Marriott’s St. Kitts Beach Club. Ms. Trimon was part of the opening team in St. Kitts and played a significant role in the startup of the Sales & Marketing Department at this property, which was awarded “Resort of the Year” in their first year of operation. In 2007 she moved to the Marriott’s BeachPlace Towers, a Marriott Vacation Club resort in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and returned to Aruba in 2010. She served as Senior Marketing Manager for Marriott Vacation Club Aruba until her recent promotion to Director of Marketing.

“Ligenne’s clear understanding of tactical marketing and her management skills will bring tremendous value to her Marriott Vacation Club Aruba Marketing team,” continued Gonzalez.

Between 2010 and 2013 she was named Manager of the Quarter seven times and became Manager of the Year in 2010 and 2012. She also received the Site Award of Excellence in 2012.

“I am very thankful for the growth opportunities at Marriott Vacation Club that brought me to this position and proud of the accolades I received,” said Ms. Trimon. “I enjoy the challenges of big dreams and believe our marketing team has the talent and hard work ethic to reach ‘Sapphire status’ in one year, the highest recognition for sales and marketing associates with Marriott Vacation Club Aruba”.
