Marriott Aruba Resort participated in Earth Hour for the fifth year in a row

Earth Hour is held yearly on the last Saturday in March to inspire communities and businesses to turn off their non-essential lights for one hour, bringing attention to sustainability issues and showing their commitment to protecting the earth.

Therefore, for five years in a row, the Aruba Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino was pleased to participate once more with this global event showing its commitment to the planet by turning off all the lights in the resort’s parking lot from 8:30 pm to 9:30 pm on Saturday, 28 March 2015.

In addition to the participation to Earth Hour, Aruba Marriott is continuously identifying ways to implement green initiatives and global conservation efforts such as LED lightning, low limit temperature programmable thermostats in rooms and using cooking oil to create bio-diesel to create a more sustainable environment.
