Hilton Aruba Celebrates Five Successful Years on Aruba with a Team Members Appreciation Lunch

Exactly five years ago, the Hilton logo lit up the Aruba tower of Hilton Aruba Caribbean Resort & Casino, on Palm Beach, joyfully announcing the rebranding of an Aruban favorite hotel, The Grande Dame, helping navigate her into a glorious future.

The new owners of the real estate, the Aruba Growth Fund, kept their promise to purchase the resort and protect all employees and their workplace. That by itself was a huge accomplishment five years ago, and seems even more significant now, following the economic downturn still affecting many businesses on the island.

The resort proudly retained all of its Team Members and reopened on July 9th, 2020, with more guests than expected and the future occupancy numbers look encouraging, according to General Manager Vasco Baselli.

Baselli was there all along during the shutdown, tending to all maintenance, security and upgraded hygiene and sanitation issues, and was pleased to see Team Members returning to work.

What better way to show appreciation, than a sumptuous BBQ lunch? Baselli, has made it a tradition to cook for Team Members on special occasions, and the 5th year anniversary under the Hilton flag, was one, with BBQ steak and ribs on the menu, accompanied by all the fixings, including a special baked bean recipe, which Baselli credits his mother for.

Team Members enjoyed their lunch at the Morris Lapidus Grand Ballroom, social distancing rules applied and expressed a great sense of satisfaction over the reopening, having adjusted to new service standards and protocols, making great efforts to reward guests for their loyalty to Aruba, applying themselves to 120% guest satisfaction and top-notch service.
