Divi & Tamarijn Aruba All Inclusives to Welcome Celebrity Chef Seamus Mullen in October

To build awareness of the culinary experience offered at the properties, the Divi & Tamarijn Aruba All Inclusives will host an exclusive, one-night-only dinner on Friday, October 14, 2016 at Windows on Aruba Restaurant featuring a menu created by Celebrity Chef Seamus Mullen.

“We are honored to welcome Chef Seamus to our properties to host this special dinner for our guests,” commented Alex Nieuwmeyer, Managing Director of Divi & Tamarijn Aruba All Inclusives and Divi Resorts Aruba. “Each year, the properties launch promotions to help showcase the different facilities that we offer our guests. With the opening of Pure Lime Restaurant earlier this year, hosting this event provides us with the opportunity to highlight our growing culinary product, which now includes our 10 different dining options.”

The VIP dinner will feature a prix-fixe menu created by Chef Seamus. Each course will be paired with a different wine from the restaurant’s extensive selection. The dinner will be available at a rate of $120 per person. Guests staying at the Divi & Tamarijn Aruba will receive a special discounted rate of $80 per person. Advance reservations are required. Located at the adjacent Divi Village Golf & Beach resort, Windows on Aruba is well known for its use of fresh, local ingredients as well as its panoramic views. It features some of the best farm-to-table, dock-to-dish cuisine in Aruba, cooked to perfection.

In addition to hosting a dinner at Windows on Aruba, Chef Seamus will make an appearance at the 2nd Annual Bartenders’ Brawl on Saturday, October 15, hosted beachfront at the Divi Aruba All Inclusive. The event is part of Aruba Restaurant Month, and Chef Seamus will be working with the Divi Aruba staff to prepare the featured hors d’oeuvres at the event.

To increase the visibility of the Chef Seamus events, Divi & Tamarijn Aruba launched their culinary sweepstakes for individuals to win a once in a lifetime trip. The winner was announced on August 2, and received a prize that included an all-inclusive stay for two at the Divi Aruba, tickets to the Bartenders’ Brawl and chef’s table at the Chef Seamus dinner at Windows on Aruba.

Seamus Mullen is an award-winning New York chef, restaurateur and cookbook author known for his inventive yet approachable Spanish cuisine, and a leading authority on health & wellness. Seamus opened his first solo restaurant Tertulia in Manhattan in 2011, which was awarded two stars from The New York Times, and a finalist for the James Beard Foundation Award for Best New Restaurant. In 2013, he opened El Colmado, a Spanish tapas and wine hall in New York’s Hell Kitchen. He has been named a semi-finalist for Best Chef New York City by the James Beard Foundation three years in a row.
