If a South American detour has ever been on your bucket list, now is the perfect time to start dreaming bigger. LATAM Airlines is expanding its service between Lima, Peru, and Aruba to a daily flight beginning in April — and that’s exciting news for anyone planning their next Caribbean escape (or a two-destination adventure!).
Previously operating five flights a week on this route, LATAM is stepping things up to seven, translating to a roughly 40% boost in available seats. We’re talking over 1,200 seats per week in each direction, and more than 18,000 additional seats annually between Lima and Aruba. More flights mean more flexibility for you when it comes to booking those perfect travel dates.

The flights operate on Airbus A320 aircraft and connect Aruba directly to LATAM’s hub at Lima’s international airport — one of South America’s busiest. From there, onward connections open up a whole world of possibility, with destinations like Santiago (Chile), Buenos Aires (Argentina), Montevideo (Uruguay), and Quito (Ecuador) all within reach. Whether you’re dreaming of Patagonia before your Aruban beach week, or a Lima food tour as a prelude to those powdery white sands — the routing just got a whole lot easier.
This expansion didn’t happen overnight. It’s the result of a collaborative effort between the Aruba Airport Authority, the Aruba Tourism Authority, and LATAM Airlines. Their partnership was even recognized at Routes Americas 2026 in Rio de Janeiro, a major international aviation development conference, where LATAM received an award honoring its work with Aruba.
