The ScubbleBubbles Foundation, officially known as Stichting Scubble Bubbles: Aruba Youth for the Ocean, started out back in 2016 with a group of 10 passionate International School of Aruba students, and one dedicated teacher.

After two years of perservance for the protection and care for the ocean, the same teacher, Ms. Nichole Danser, oficially established the ScubbleBubbles Foundation in the summer of 2018.

Goals:

• Geting more young people of Aruba involved in saving the reefs
• Making the opportunities to scuba dive more accessible for the Aruban youth/students, by helping alleviate the cost of scuba diving supplies and certification

*Their ultimate goal is to have there be no cost involved for the youth of Aruba to dive and help with surveys, nursery care, or reef clean ups.

Highlights:

• They are responsible for Aruba's first official coral restoration nursery
• They collaborate with other organizations to help environmental causes, such as Aruba Reef Care Foundation and Aruba Lion Fish Initiative
• They bring awareness to the global issue of coral bleaching and ocean care
• They personally train new members on coral health and taxonomy
• They train recruits on the techniques that they have learned and currently employ in their "underwater coral nursery"

The Hows:

• Arranging local reef health surveys
• Organizing coral restoration and conservation projects
• Planning and hosting a rotating schedule for nursery-care dives and survey dives*This in return makes it more accessible for young individuals to volunteer

Although the foundation's main focus aims to encourage the youth of Aruba to make a difference when it comes to ocean care through coral reef restoration projects and research surveys - they welcome, any and all, who want to give a helping hand for the cause!

"Any diver in Aruba is welcome to volunteer for a reef clean up or survey."

They Need Help:

• From Aruban students (or passionate and interested individuals) who want to learn and join the hands-on projects
• From PADI-certified adults who are willing to volunteer their time in training the new recruits
• From Diving Centers/Agencies/Organizations
• From individuals who care about the environment, youth community service projects, and Aruba's future with regards to beach, ocean, and reef care
