Bier Koekjes (Beer Biscuits)

- 1 kg flour
- 1/2 kg of butter
- 1 bottle of cold beer
- 1 cup of sugar and cinnamon
Put flour, butter and beer in a bowl and mix them well with your hands until the mixture is consistent. Spread the dough with a floured rolling pin on a well floured board. Use cookie cutters to make lovely shapes. Place the shaped cookie dough on a greased sheet. Bake at 350 F for 15-20 minutes or until light golden color. While still hot from the oven place the baked cookies in a closed recipient with the sugar and cinnamon and shake to cover the cookies well.
for sweeter-tasting cookies: add 5 tablespoons of sugar to the mixture.
