Aruba hosted the Junior Latin American Baseball League for the first time and the community is proud on Aruba’s results so far. The Junior League World Series is a baseball tournament for children 13, 14 and 15 years and takes place annually. Participating countries in this League are: Aruba, Costa Rica, Colombia, Curacao, Guatemala, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Republic of El Salvador, Virgin Islands and Venezuela.

Chysah Verstappen walked away with the crown last weekend. The night opened with a presentation by all the candidates themed “Las Vegas” followed by the bathing suit defile. Chysah also won other titles including Miss Teen Photogenic and Miss Teen Congeniality.

Aruba's windsurfing champion is currently in Fuerteventura, Canary Islands defending her crown in the 2013 PWA Freestyle Windsurfing Cup. In the Women’s Double Elimination Sarah-Quita Offringa faced Arrianne Aukes in the winners’ final once more after having beaten Yoli de Brendt in the preceding heat.
