Air Transat has unveiled its 2026-2027 winter strategy, highlighting a significant expansion of its sun-destination network. A key feature of this expansion is the launch of a new nonstop service from Montreal (YUL) to Oranjestad, Aruba (AUA).
Starting December 12, 2026, the airline will operate weekly flights every Monday, providing Canadian travelers with a direct connection to the island’s famous white-sand beaches and year-round sunny climate.

Enhancing Connectivity to Aruba
The new route is part of Air Transat’s effort to meet the surging demand for safe, high-quality Caribbean destinations. By offering a direct link from Montreal, the airline aims to cater to both leisure seekers looking for a tropical retreat and travelers eager to explore the island’s unique culture and scenic landscapes.
“Demand for sun destinations remains strong,” stated Sebastian Ponce, Chief Revenue Officer at Air Transat. He emphasized that the addition of Aruba to the winter schedule is a strategic move to provide Canadians with more ways to escape the winter months.
