Aruba Nautical Club 51st International Billfish Tournament
Aruba Nautical Club is organizing the 51th International Classic Billfish Tournament. This tournament is held annually since 1964 and recent years with "Catch & Release" format. This means that all fish that are caught are not killed, but are being released back. This for preservation and conservation purposes of the applicable species, which include the blue marlin, white marlin and the sailfish. For each released fish the angler and his team will earn an amount of points.
Prices include trophies, cash prices and other attractive articles. Images of the released fish will be shown on flat screens at the club. The tournament is a qualifying event for the 2016 OWC, Offshore World Championship Qualifying event.
Friday 30 October: Registration, captain's meeting.
