First I would like to say I
love Aruba and this was our 2nd trip to Aruba. We were traveling on a Charter flight with
TNT Vacations. I do not recommend TNT vacations to anyone! We were supposed to leave
Boston Logan at 5 a.m. after several hours we were told there was a delay due to a minor
mechanical problem. Around 8:30 a.m. we were told that we needed a new plane and not to
expect leaving Boston until 6 p.m. The plane did arrive but we did not end up leaving
Boston until 9 p.m. We finally landed in Aruba at 4 a.m. on 10/13 and then shared a Taxi
(due to the many passengers waiting for Taxi's) to the Wyndham.
Wyndham By Request - I am a
member which pretty much means nothing. There was no express check in for By Request
members so we had to wait in line to check in. Also we were not given any special pillows
etc. that was requested and finally got a small bottle of wine/cheese/crackers (for one
person) on 10/13 around 3 p.m. The Wyndham had also screwed up our rooms several times. We
were first given a room with Twin Beds on
the 8th floor right next to all the construction noise. Then switched to a King Bed Room
on the 6th Floor but still
next to the construction noise. Finally given a room on the 14th floor but the balcony
door was extremely hard to open, the shower curtain was dirty, and when they began working
on the elevators we were right next to the elevator shaft so we heard constant banging.
Every time we tried to contact the front desk we were told we'll call you back and never
would. Finally after speaking to the Manager we were given a credit on our room.
Other than that our trip was really good! Great weather! Great sights! Great Pictures!
Visit the Hyatt's fruit smoothie stand - Elisabeth is great! Pago Pago, Ruins del Mar,
Blossoms, Iguana Joe's, The Terrace....all were great! Cafe Bacci was good last year but
this year it was horrible....the food was cold, and there was 2 waiters for the entire
place on a Friday night. If you are looking for Lladro's go to Gandlemans (downtown) and
ask for Twina!
