We just returned from another
wonderful trip to Aruba (our second trip)! Left Boston on Delta with a stop in Atlanta, GA
and then on to sunny Aruba. Flights in both directions were uneventful, left on time and
arrived early for all destinations. The hotel was great, staff great, always willing to
help :-) Our room was ready when we arrived. We had a small bottle of wine and
cheese/crackers waiting for us. We changed and were on the beach in the beautiful ocean in
minutes. We had awesome dinners at Madame Janettes & Chalet Suisse (try the Chilean
Sea Bass at Chalet Suisse).
Also went to the French Steakhouse, it was average. Had a very good
meal at the Wyndham restaurant, Cafe Baci, the red snapper was excellent. Went to the
BBQ at the Wyndham, it was average. For the price, $27 pp, I would of rather went back to
Madame J, or Chalet S. The manager's cocktail party at the Wyndham was very good,
complimentary food and drinks 6-7:30pm Pool chairs are the best, thick comfy pads on the
chairs, great for a snooze. The pool staff pass out fruit skewers in the afternoon, along
with cold cloths to wipe your face with. We went to a time share presentation one morning,
only about 1 1/2 hours, and received a car rental for 2 days. Did some snorkeling at Baby
Beach and stopped on the side of the road, Malmok Beach.
Every day was sunny, 90ish,
windy and hot, hot, hot! Bring your sunscreen, and put plenty on. If it wasn't for the
nice breeze, it would be almost unbearable. Just a passing shower one morning. A line
starts to form around 7:45am for the beach huts, but there was always one available, we
did not have a hard time getting one when we wanted one. We had a blast on the Kukoo party bus, a must for everyone who wants a fun
night :-)!!!!! The bus has music, and everyone has a set of maracas to shake its a fun,
fun, time! All ages on the bus, newlyweds to seniors:-) We were sad to leave, the time
flew by, however, looking forward to returning again some day:-)
