After reading a recent review of the Divi Aruba resort, I had to enter mine.
Just a week later than the previous trip report, our first
trip to Aruba and the Divi was absolutely wonderful!!!! We stayed at the Lanei oceanfront
bldg. It was beautiful, super clean daily and what a view. I must admit the lunch staff in
the buffet restaurant was less than attentive. However, that was the only complaint I had.
I never waited for a luscious frozen drink at the bar, the tour desk staff was so friendly
and willling to do whatever necessary to make us happy. We found the breakfast and lunch
buffet excellent; dinner was so-so....book the Red Parrot, we enjoyed that alot.
The Paparazzi at the Tam was very pretty, staff was so
friendly and the roaming accordion player a real charmer. We enjoyed our appetizers and
salads but if you're Italian, like us, its difficult to call the food authentic. Just the
same, the atmosphere, staff and music more than made up for the entrees. Heck between the
drinks all day and all the food and snacks, one could easily pass up an entire entree.
So yes, there were a couple of tiles lose on the pool deck
and the afternoon wait staff made you choke for a beverage, but the property was
beautiful, the beach a delight. water sports, nightly entertainment and the most outrageou
sunsets. I can't wait to return to Aruba and it will definitely be to the Divi all
inclusive. We loved it and thought it was worth every penny.
