Marriott Ocean Club Trip Report

We had a wonderful time in Aruba and plan to return!
We had no complaints with the Marriott other than the Hertz counter was never staffed. Since the Marriott has a special relationship with Hertz and
provide them a place to do business I will post my thoughts here.
No Hertz assistance was very irritating because I spent a lot of time(4
attempts over 2 days) looking for an agent to rent a car. Neither desk at
the Marriott Hotel or Ocean Club was ever staffed. Finally I reached a Hertz
employee on the telephone and attempted to rent a car. I was told he was
leaving at 4 pm and could not help me even though (I called at 3:45 pm) I am
a #1 Gold Club member of Hertz and rent from them on a weekly basis.
Ellie at the concerige desk recommended Super Rentals. They picked me up and provided a shuttle to the airport when I returned the car. I doubt I will
ever use Hertz again! They were NOT customer-friendly!
Ocean Club was wonderful! Very clean facility. Restaurants were very good.
We ate on the beach at Waves one evening and thoroughly enjoyed the food and music. La Vista has a good breakfast buffet that we used daily. The casino was pretty small and I didn't see to many people winning anything. Pool area was very nice.
