Aruba Trip Report - Allegro Beach Resort / Radisson
Beach Resort
Travel dates not disclosed
Sent in by: Joan Ingram
My husband and I were married in Aruba on February 18th. We had fifty guests attend. All
us stayed at the Allegro. The Allegro was fantastic. It completely surpassed any
preconceived notions I had about how the vacation and wedding would turn out. The staff
from the maid to the hotel manager were nothing but helpful and accommodating. The
reception itself would rival anything you would find in the United States. The food, the
ambiance, the staff all helped to make it an amazing evening for my husband and I, as well
as for our guests. Fifty people of varying personalities and age brackets are hard to
please all at the same time, but the Allegro was able to do just that and more. The rooms
at the Allegro will not knock your socks off (other aspects of the resort will). They are
standard rooms, but very clean. We were never in the room anyway, so who cares? We went to
stay at the Radisson after the wedding, overall we were not pleased. The room at the
Radisson will knock your socks off, but little else did there. The food at both resorts
was very similar. The other guests at the Radisson were much less friendly. Many people
seemed to have their noses in the air. The staff at the Radisson was much less helpful,
and at times downright rude. The pool and beach area at both resorts was beautiful.
However, the Radisson was dead, it had no life. Well, except of course for the little
tikes racing every which way. Had we known in advance, we would have stayed at the Allegro
the whole time. We enjoyed the Alegro very much and highly recommend it.
