Aruba Trip Report - Allegro Beach Resort
Travel dates not disclosed

Just got back from the Allegro on Saturday. Had a great time! We went
all-inclusive, and there was plenty to eat at all hours of the day. The
buffets had lots of food and good variety so if you don't like something you
can just try something else. Also, they give you three $50.00 dining coupons
to use at other restaurants in the area. Lots of good restaurants were
included. You can use these for anything on the menu, including beverages! So you don't
have to eat every meal on the resort and you'll still feel you got
your money's worth for the all-inclusive.
Liquor is somewhat limited in variety, but again there's enough available to
keep you happy. They do have Stoli vodka and Bacardi rum. Beer is on tap. No bottles or
cans there. They have Lite, Amstel (regular) and Balashi. We loved the Balashi. We also
loved the pina coladas. We ordered doubles with light and dark rum. I can't complain about
the drinks. Some people said they were weak. That's not really an issue with all
inclusive. All you do is request a
double or ask for more booze if the drink is not strong enough.
The beach and pool were beautiful. We did have to get out there early to
reserve a hut on the beach. Too much sun without one. We spent most of our
time at the beach. Loved the floats which you can reserve for four hours.
Free floats available on the all-inclusive. $5.00 floats if you're not.
The wind was a beautiful, gentle breeze all week. On the last day, the wind
really picked up, and I could see how it could be a problem if it were blowing like that
every day, but we had no such problem. The wind was very welcome.
No bugs, but lots of iguanas. Watched the sun set into the ocean every day.
Perfect weather. Did the Kukoo
Kunuku bus, Tattoo
Party Boat and Fun Factory snorkeling trip. Loved the Kukoo bus. What a
blast! Saw great fish, and a sea turtle while snorkeling. What a wonderful week in
paradise! Came home to freezing cold, snow and sleet. Back to reality.
But good memories.
