Aruba Trip Report - Aruba Honeymoon
Travel dates not disclosed
Sent in by: Jennifer Buchanan
My husband and I just got back from a glorious weeks stay at the Tamarijn Resort
with the mega inclusive for the Divi.
We had the absolute BEST time.
Our flight was early, 6:15 am, out of Cleveland, but went smoothly. The Aruba airport was
a piece of cake. We landed around 12:30, 1:00 and were at the resort in our room(which was
always spotless) by 2:00. Checking in the resort was great, they even had our honeymoon
package ready. Rames, who checked us in was just happy, like everyone there, and helped us
right away.
James the bellhop was awesome, like everyone says. He was so kind and always had a smile
on his face.
The weather was fabulous! Upper 80's and sun everyday! In the evening it was a little
breezy and low 70's. Like I said, fabulous! We were extremely lazy and found a spot
right outside our room under one of the cool umbrellas with a couple of lounge chairs and
had the ocean right at our feet. We were in the first building next to the buffet, we
didn't mind, since it was so close to the bar!!! We had great drinks from great
bartenders. Willy and Andres were both great. The food was great. There were large
selections of food to choose from. We loved having fresh fruit every morning and they
really have good coffee. We liked our 4:00 nachos and Balashi beer at the pizza stand with
the server named Margarita. Everything was delicious. The pool was great. The evening
shows were really fun.
We got a kick out of the Funmakers. Their job was to play and have fun with people! Festus
was in charge of the Funmakers and was a riot. We especially loved the two young guys,
Buddy and Richard who sang and danced all day. The Divi was very pretty. The atmosphere there was just
gorgeous. The food was just as good. The one restaurant there, The Red Parrot, was really
delicious. We had a great filet mignon. The grill/bar by the parrots was great for lunch,
and they played good music. All in all we loved our honeymoon, we loved the Tam/Divi, and
we loved Aruba. Great weather, great people. It really is one happy island. We can't wait
to go back!
