Aruba Trip Report - Allegro Beach Resort

Travel dates not disclosed

I stayed at the Allegro on September 9th for my honeymoon and was pretty disappointed with the place. Our booking was made well in advance and when we arrived at the hotel and checked into our room we were not happy. The bed was a mess and looked like someone just got out of it. Also, the room was a little cloudy and reeked of cigarettes smoke and we had a view of
the parking lot between our hotel and the Hyatt. I called the front desk from the room to complain and they were not too surprised nor accommodating. I had to repeatedly request a different room that was clean and had a view and finally they gave us another room with twin beds that faced the pool.

The second problem we had was with a waiter at the restaurant by the pool. We met another couple and decided to have lunch together and when we were about to start our order the waiter said 3 times "hurry up, I have other tables to take care of". I seriously thought he was kidding until I saw his face and he said it three times. We didn't say anything because we were afraid he would do something to our food. We paid in advance to eat there and we
shouldn't be treated like that by any means.

The third problem was towards the end of our trip we were greeted by the "Miss Hawaiian Tropic Model search girls". I wouldn't have cared so much but I am on my honeymoon with my husband and all these girls are parading around in their g-strings (more like dental floss). They were bending over at every chance and didn't show any respect for the honeymooners. The beach was full of couples not single guys and they knew it. As for the nightly
entertainment, the girls are all basically all thongs. Does anyone believe in covering their behind these days?

I definitely recommend the all inclusive package because it can be very expensive to eat and drink in Aruba. I just think the Allegro is better suited for singles and not couples.
