Just returned from a wonderful trip to Aruba! Stayed first 3 nights at the
Best Western Manchebo Beach. Very nice casual, quiet, motel style, with the BEST BEACH on Aruba. We had a superior 1st floor, ocean front room, #24 which had patio door opening to the spectacular beach. Beautiful white
sand, crystal clear, warm waters, on an uncrowded beach. Total relaxation on
this quiet beach! (many Europeans and some topless bathing on this beach)
Enjoyed delicious Churrasco dinner at The French Steak House. Very
attentive restaurant staff, anxious to please.

Took taxi to high rise section for Sail/Snorkel trip with Red Sail Sports,
by the Hyatt Beach. This 2 1/2 hour afternoon catamaran trip makes 2 stops,
one at Antilla ship wreck, with open bar, snacks. Not too crowded, we
enjoyed this so much, went back for a second trip later during our stay.
Adults with coupon was around, $30, and half price for kids. Sails 230pm to
5pm, a perfect time for us. Rented a mini boat, I think it was $60 for 1/2 hour ride which seemed much longer, and banana boat ride, $15 from Aruba Watersports Center, by the Allegro beach. A lot of fun, and the staff there were great! A 15 % discount if you sign up for 3 activities with them which you can use anytime during your stay.

Moved to Wyndham for 3 night stay. A very busy and fun deluxe hotel, with
lots of activities here. Very nice rooms, with many amenities and ocean
view from all. Request pool/ocean view for best rooms. The beach was a bit
crowded here, but lots more to do. Activities director had pool aerobics,
bingo, fun contests, music etc. A line to reserve beach huts starts at 8am,
usually filled between 830am and 9am. Nice, large pool, with drinks/snacks
served here.

Casual dining at hotel's Caffe Baci was great for pizza. El Gaucho
steakhouse
downtown provided excellent food and service. We were a bit
disappointed in the Driftwood food and service. Buccaneer restaurant had
poor food quality. We were told food here is prepared in advance, and
microwaved! Joe Mendez Adventure golf was fun for the kids, with paddle boats, arcades and a nice Italian restaurant, Alfredo's.

Aruba is perfect for summer vacation with almost guaranteed weather! Below
hurricane zone, friendly, safe island. I recommend both the Manchebo, and
the Wyndham hotels, depending on what you are looking for. Can't wait to go
back! Feel free to email if any questions.
