This Month's Recipe:
Papaya Berde (Stewed
Green Papaya)
Serves 4
Select:
- 1 very green, medium papaya
Peel and slice. There should be about two
cups of fruit. Drop it into rapidly boiling salted water. Simmer for about one-half hour,
or until fruit is tender. Drain well.
Add:
- 1 Tbs. Butter
- Dash of nutmeg
This fine dish is an excellent accompaniment to the stobas, or stews.
