Recipe: (Chocolate Trifle) Serves 24 Prepare pan levi as indicated in Panlevi Melt over boiling water, or a very low flame:
Add a little at a time:
Beat long and hard as there should be no lumps. Chill thoroughly. Beat until light and creamy:
Beat in:
Beat in one at a time:
Add:
Blend in the chilled chocolate mixture. Place five or mix panlevi in the bottom of a large serving bowl. Cover with a layer of the chocolate. Add a second layer of panlevi, pressing the cookies into the chocolate. Repeat until the bowl is full, finishing with a layer of chocolate. Garnish with snipped maraschino cherries and slivered almonds. Refrigerate overnight and serve well chilled.
